What is a Buddy Walk?  It’s a family fun day with music, food, vendors, crafts, games, raffles, children’s activities and entertainers, and a ceremonial walk to show support for our friends, family and community members with Down syndrome. It is not a 5K.

Who can participate?  The Buddy Walk encourages participation from EVERYONE!  You can register at our website as a participant by forming your own team, joining an existing team, making a donation or simply join us day of. Teams can be formed in honor, memory or support of someone, by local businesses, teachers, medical professionals, scouts, school groups, clubs or anyone!

Why is this important? The Buddy Walk is an initiative of the National Down Syndrome Society to spread awareness in local communities.  By participating you are showing support for those with Down syndrome and their hopes of a future full of an inclusion, opportunities, and acceptance.  In addition to funding our mission of providing support and resources to local families and supporting advocacy on a national level, we are also in the planning stages to develop more employment opportunities for those with disabilities in our community.  Your participation puts us one step closer to our goal!

$15/Adults  $10/Child – Includes food and access to all activities.  Register by August 15th get a free t-shirt!
